Do I need a computer to use the Desktop Rover? |

No
The Desktop Rover is a radio controlled microvehicle. The R/C transmitter has 3 sticks to control the tracks independently, and fire and reload the infrared laser gun.
You can drive it from the remote control, or if you like, you can plug it into your computer and use the Telecommander software to control the Desktop Rover
