Our latest
improvements to the Desktop Rover enable anyone to
send commands to the Desktop Rover from your
computer, and over the internet! Our Telecommander
Software (and included interface cable) is a snap
to install, and easy enough for anyone to use - no
computer experience necessary!
This
"Telecommander Demo" uses the Telecommander
software in "Server Mode" in our Lab - The Lab
computer is plugged in to the Desktop Rover
transmitter box, and the Desktop Rover (with super
long battery life) is on the surface of the planet
Mars! (actually it is a diarama in our Lab). A
Java based web interface with live streaming video
connects over the internet to the remote client
(thats you).
No Web Plugins are required to
use this demo - it is Java based! We have made it
easy to try our demo! Just follow the connection
instructions and go!

following system configuration:
High bandwidth internet connection (Cable,
DSL)
Windows OS (95, 98, ME, NT, 2000); or
Mac OS 9 - OS X with Internet Explorer
Java turned on in browser preferences
Troubleshooting
Modem/Slow Internet Connection
Our streaming video requires a fast
Internet connection. Cable modems and DSL
connections are usually fast enough to deliver
the video.
Best Hours to Visit
